DAY 01: ITALY – MUMBAI

Departure from Italy with a scheduled flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival customs formalities, meeting with our representative and transfer to hotel for overnight.

DAY 02 : MUMBAI

In the morning visit of Bombay, the economic capital of India Prince of Wales Museum, Mani Bhawan, former residence of Mahatma Gandhi, now a museum, Kamla Nehru Park and Marine Drive. In the afternoon visit the Gateway of India and excursion to Elephanta Island to admire the magnificent rock-cut temples. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 03: MUMBAI – AHMEDABAD

Breakfast at the hotel and departure by Jet Airways scheduled flight at 09:00 for Ahmedabad, arrival at 10:00 and check-in at the hotel. Afternoon visit to the beautiful Sidi Saiyed Mosque built in 1573, the Hathee Singh Jain Temple, a Jainist temple in inlaid white marble, the Gandhi Ashram, and the stupendous Adalej Step Well. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 04: AHMEDABAD – POSHINA ( 170 Km. 4 hours approx)

Breakfast at the hotel and visit the Friday Mosque, followed by the Calicò Museum where you can find a wide range of ancient and modern textile products. Afternoon departure Poshina. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 05: POSHINA

Breakfast at the hotel and visit to the tribal villages around Poshina. Here you will have the opportunity to discover the customs of the Garacia, Bhil and Rajasthani ethnic groups, near the Ambaji temple, dedicated to the mother goddess Amba. In the afternoon visit other tribal villages. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 06 : POSHINA – PATAN – MODHERA – DASADA

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Dasada, On the way visit Patan Patola Weaving famous for its silk saris and its artistic well and later visit Modhera – where there is the famous Temple of the Sun, arrival in Dasada and overnight.

DAY 07: DASADA

Breakfast at the hotel and visit the Little Rann of Kutch to see different types of birds such as flamingos, geese and cranes. You will also see wild asses and blue bulls. Towards evening village safari to discover the Bharwad, Rabari ethnic groups. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 08 : DASADA – BHUJ

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Bhuj, in the evening visit the Bhuj market and the Foreign Registration office to get permits to visit the tribal villages of the Great Rann of Kutch the next day. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 09 : BHUJ – BANNI – BHUJ

Excursion to tribal villages of various ethnic groups like Jat, Harijan, Meghawal, Mutva etc. in various villages like Hodka, Ludiya, and Dhordo. Here taking pictures won’t be easy, since especially the Jats don’t like to be filmed. Final gem, towards sunset, we will go right to the edge of the desert to attend a ceremony that has been repeated for many years and which ends with the offer of food by a holy man to the coyotes of the area who flock every time they hear the sound of the same time the bell of the temple. Return to Bhuj for dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 10 : BHUJ – MANDVI – BHUJ

Breakfast at the hotel and visit of the village of Bhujodi, then the excursion to Mandvi to visit the Rabari village after Tunda Wandh near Mandvi itself. Visit the Mandvi Palace and the ship breaking and repair yards that dock here in miserable conditions. Return to Bhuj for dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 11: BHUJ

Breakfast at the hotel and a visit of the town which includes the Aina Mahal, the Prag Mahal or an excursion to Dholavira where you will find an example of the construction of the ancient Harappan. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 12: BHUJ – MUMBAI

Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for Kingfisher Airlines scheduled flight to Mumbai at 15:00, arrival in Mumbai at 16:15 and transfer to hotel near the international airport. Dinner at the hotel and late night transfer to the international airport.

DAY 13: MUMBAI – ITALY

Departure with a scheduled flight to Italy and overnight on board. On the early morning arrival in Italy.
