Tibet, a region of Central Asia located on the homonymous plateau at an average altitude of 4,900 m, is commonly known as the “Roof of the World”. Information on the origin of the Tibetan population is scarce and uncertain, but in general it can be said that the “extreme” climatic characteristics of these areas have created a people who love strong colors and conviviality, people who like to meet after days or weeks of travel, feasting and dancing, escaping the day-to-day isolation of nomadic life, and turning villages into centers of caravan and monastic life, thus intertwining religion with day-to-day business.
